Yep, it’s still winter, and it’s gonna be winter for another month. Winter isn’t too bad, is it? But what about summer?
I mean, in the summer time, you can sleep in ’till 2 because there’s no school, you can wear that tank and those shorts you’ve been dying to wear all winter, and you can actually do SPORTS that don’t involve 1) Sliding around on a frozen pond chasing a plastic puck with a wooden stick and 2) Strapping narrow peices of plastic to your feet to slide down a mountain or go for a very akward walk in the woods.
I’m not saying anything against those things. They’re pretty darn sweet. I mean, what with hockey season. Hockey and beer is the only thing you need to keep us Canadians happy =P And alpine skiing and snowboarding’s one of my favourite sports!
So, apparently both summer and winter are pretty damn awesome, but which one is better?
Yes, this is a very devastating question. The answer will change LIVES. I mean, because everyone certainly cares about whether summer is better than winter or not.

Right, not so much. But still! Don’t you want to know? Well, since you’re reading this and since I want to know, you’re gonna find out!
But if you really don’t want to know, just stop reading. –Wait! I didn’t mean that! DON’T YOU NAVIGATE AWAY FROM ME, PERSON!
ANYWAYS… To find out, I’m doing a pro and con survey for myself for both seasons, starting with winter.
WINTER: PROS AND CONS
Pro: Skiing!
Con: School.
Pro: Hockey!
Con: Freezing cold.
Pro: HOT CHOCOLATE =3
Con: Shoveling 20 cms of snow off of a freaking huge driveway
Pro: Snow days. Sweeeeeeeeet.
Con: Hiking through 20 cms of snow to get to school because your mom won’t let you stay home.
Pro: Warm fireplaces…?
Con: Warm fireplaces setting your house on fire.
Pro: At least you’ll be warm!
Con: And dead.
Pro: Well, that’s ok if you’re emo.
Con: ANYWAYS…
Pro: Hot apple cider!
Con: Slipping on slippery driveways when delivering papers because people can’t be bothered to shovel.
SUMMER: PROS AND CONS
Pro: No school!
Con: All your friends are gone in Costa Rica or something stupid like that.
Pro: You don’t have to wear a poofy coat just to take your dog for a walk.
Con: Rain storms.
Pro: Long, relaxing bikerides.
Con: Falling off your bike and killing your head.
Pro: Horse back riding!
Con: Stepping in horse crap.
Pro: Summer camp =DDDD
Con: Gypsie moths getting into your suitcase and laying eggs on your favourite black sweater (it’s happened before! HEY! STOP LAUGHING YOU–)
Pro: Swimming.
Con: Heat waves.
Pro: Traveling.
Con: Long, annoying road-trips with your dad playing Bob Dylan the whole way to PEI.
All those pros and cons are pretty conving, eh? So, what do you think? It’s pretty much all a matter of opinion. But I’ve reached a conclusion…
They’re both the same.
So, yeah, this posts has been pretty much entirely pointless. Hope y’all enjoyed it!

I kinda like summer better mainly because summer is longer and also you don’t have school as much during summer. But essentially they are the same except for the temperatures.

I like the summer better too since you dont have school. Also, cuz you get to hang out with your friends more often and you dont have to study for a freakin test!

Summer, hands down. Unless I get to go someplace thats freaking amazing in the Winter, like Italy. We do that sometimes. But otherwise, Summer rocks. You forgot the most important part of Summer! THE BEACH!!! I LOVE THE BEACH!!!!!

I like winter because in summer I always get sick:( And trust me it’s not fun. But summer is still cool. And if it wasn’t for getting sick I’d like summer better, because that’s the only time I can go in my pool:) But in winter you can be all nice and cozy in front of the fireplace drinking hot chocalate with tiny little marshmellows and whipped cream while reading a good book. But in summer there’s big bugs bugging you while you’re trying to get a tan on the beach. And I hate bugs!!! Well that’s my opinion!

Yeah, bugs are a giant con. I walk outside, and I’m like, “Ah! A bug! Heeeeeeelpp!” And then I run back inside. xD

To be honest, I love the bugs! They’re just so cool. The only ones I don’t like are mosquitos and wasps and hornets and anything that stings but doesn’t add to the enviroment. My favourite are spiders.
Once in science we had a monarch catapillar and we watched the entire process as it turned into a butterfly. How can you hate bugs? =P

Well spiders are cool but the bugs that I hate are the bugs that you said AND cicadas. I just hate them! They ruined my whole summer last year.

I like bugs, just not the ones that fly in your face or crawl all over you or suck your blood.
